Your work your way, while you enjoy life
Realising we don’t need to be tied to an office or desk, and that we can create from anywhere, is a game changer. Life can be fun again! A laptop and software that help us stay organised, plus choices, just make more sense. Better still, calm or chaos can be all around us, but from the client’s perspective, things are running smoothly through the Propagio lens. Provided, of course, that we’re managing expectations and following a predictable system.
Delivering a project from A to B with clients is pretty easy once it’s broken down into manageable chunks, especially when feedback is centralised and in logical order. This means you can do short bursts of work and hand them back to clients for review and comments. In between, it’s free time to go skydiving, or pull up a deckchair and work on the tan, or Zen mode.
Even if you are in different time zones, this can be used to your advantage. Granted, it requires a bit of forward planning and keeping clients up to date with next steps, but it can work for everyone.
Life is no longer restricted; it is transient, enjoyable and full of adventure. I designed Propagio to enable this freedom, and it was partly inspired by two books. Both are pretty old now, but they really underpin the ‘my life, my way’ ideology.
The numbers back this up, if you want them: the data behind who actually works from home, and why independent and small-scale creative work is growing, is in the first post on this blog. This one is the same argument from the inside.
So, if you’re looking for adventure or solitude, find the software that works for you and your clients. Enjoy life, and the freedom technology enables. Empower yourself; your unique passion adds value to the world.
I hope this helps someone,
Thanks for reading.
